Was I expecting more? Yes - but again I realized that every 10-20% increase of speed which is barely visible in reality is announced by marketers like a big change. Just FYI - base machine was W10 / I5 3,8 MHz with 16GB memory. The difference in speed is significant 2-3x faster. However I saw quite a dramatic speed-up in modern programs (ON1, Zoner, Topaz, NeatImage). They do some calculations (PS) with help of GPU but only some of them. Re Photoshop/Lightroom there was not that much difference - if any.
I´ve changed GEforce 560 to 970 couple of months ago. I'm assuming the way the cards deal with multiple monitors and desktop color is the same. Just wondering if I'm barking up the wrong tree to hope for a performance boost in 2D & GPU here. I realise the 670 uses a little less power as it's on a smaller process. One of the plugins I use is NeatImage which makes use of the GPU.
